Cristiano Ronaldo, reputed as being the best soccer player in the world right now, was pictured in a popular Spanish sports newspaper wearing an Admiral's Cup Competition 48 in red gold. Six pages were dedicated to the footballer in the paper.
The Portuguese super star is projected to become the highest-paid footballer in the world thanks to the US$ 132 million deal that saw him transferred to Real Madrid from Manchester United. Thanks in large part to his former team's conquest of the EUFA Champions league in 2008 he was named that year's FIFA World Player of The Year and was awarded the prestigious Ballon D'Or. He is the first member of Manchester United to win the Ballon D'or in forty years.
According to Corum, the Admiral's Cup Competition 48 that Ronaldo wears is made of 18 karat rose gold and set with rows of natural, full-cut diamonds. Perfectly suiting the young, wealthy athlete, the watch is large and sporty despite the traditional elegance of gold and diamonds. On closer inspection, however, I could not find any stones adorning the case. I believe that the watch is probably the non-diamond version of the Admiral's Cup 48 in red gold. Either way, the twenty-four year old phenom wears it very well.

Bell & Ross' release of the BR-01 Tourbillon was very successful and has stemmed into the release of several other complicated models. Three new variations of the BR01 Tourbillon are now available as is the most complicated watch of the manufacturer's line, the BR Grand Minuteur.
The proprietary movements on both these models are amazing technically and visually. A golden tourbillon cage completes one revolution per minute while the balance wheel beats within it. Because the bridges and plates that hold the mechanical components together are made using carbon fibre, the wearer is offered a stunning yet sporty view through the exhibition back of the case.
The new Grand Minuteur re-invents the BR case. The case on this watch is rectangular with a width of 50mm and height of 44. The watch offers numerous functions including a fly-back chronograph and three-day power reserve. Thanks to the ingenious dial, the chronograph indicates the time lapse using minutes as well as tenth of hours. Perfect for anyone who bills clients in that fashion.
Both the Grand Minuteur and BR 01 Tourbillon models are extremely rare and complicated time pieces. They are available for order through Matt Baily for a limited time only.
