CORUM raises the curtain on its classically elegant and resolutely contemporary Ti-Bridge model. This powerful and technical watch houses CORUM's second mechanical movement, the new Caliber CO 007.
Stemming from CORUM's well-established expertise in the field of exceptional movements, this timepiece houses a new and exclusive caliber designed, developed and assembled in-house; and is writing a new chapter in the company's rich history. The Ti-Bridge is all set to cause a sensation.
In unveiling its second in-house caliber, CORUM is entering a whole new era. The CO 007 movement is clearly inspired by the legendary Golden Bridge caliber, while giving a whole new twist to the original concept. Whereas the shape is immediately recognizable, the dimensions, the components and the technical characteristics are all completely different and testify to the resolutely contemporary spirit of the CO 007. As the first model to house this new caliber, the Ti-Bridge heralds the advent of a new line of CORUM collections. Understated elegance and modern design meet and merge to create a perfect balance between design and technology.
A truly exceptional horological creation, the Ti-Bridge marries technical excellence with contemporary design. It is also entirely in harmony with the existing creations by CORUM, a brand which has since its founding consistently expressed the mood of the times through its successive timepieces. Built around the new linear CO 007 movement, the Ti-Bridge reveals its style through taut lines and a resolutely dynamic character. A timepiece that naturally meets the lofty standards of Haute Horlogerie, it sublimates watchmaking tradition by expressing it an eminently modern manner. Melding sophisticated design features and architectural codes with contemporary materials, the Ti-Bridge immediately establishes itself as a benchmark model.
A titanium soul
In both its movement and case, the Ti-Bridge gives pride of place to titanium, a material known for its lightness and the difficulties involved in machining it. The bridges and plates of the Caliber CO 007 are cut from this ultra-modern material. The meticulous finishing on all movements is typified by the upper bridge engraved with the 'CORUM' brand name. The bridges are satin-finished, while the generously sized barrel features a snailed finish. Equipped with a balance oscillating at the speed of 4 Hz, Caliber CO 007 is endowed with a 72-hour power reserve.
Intimately linked to the movement in that it is also made from grade 5 titanium - the only kind that can be polish-finished - the curved tonneau-shaped case measures 42.5 mm by 41.5 mm. Topped on the upper part by a large convex sapphire crystal, the case has a satin-finished case-back enhanced by a central rectangular sapphire window revealing the movement. This black PVD-coated crystal subtly filters the view of the movement, offering tantalizing glimpses of the interlacing pattern of its inner workings. Comfortably cambered and water-resistant to 50 meters, the case is graced with alternating surface finishes - polished on top and satin-finished on the side.
The movement is secured inside the case by a set of two titanium 'cross bars'. Screwed to the flange, which is itself integrated within the case, they contribute to consolidating the whole construction and to enhancing the aesthetic quality of this model. The openworked Superluminova coated hands guarantee optimal nocturnal visibility.
The Ti-Bridge is teamed with a crocodile strap equipped with a titanium-capped triple folding clasp. A truly precious and exclusive model, the Ti-Bridge will be issued in a limited production run of 750 only in 2009.

Corum has enlarged its iconic Admiral's Cup line with a new boldly designed model - the Challenge 48 Black Flag.
The new Corum Admiral's Cup is created in deep black and luminescent blue. You will not see the bright colors of the nautical pennants featured by other watches of the line.
The signature 12-sided case of the Admiral's Cup Challenge 48 'Black Flag' is crafted in black titanium and measures 48 mm in diameter. Titanium is highly appreciated by watchmakers for its superb resilience and lightness. Thus, the case produced from titanium has minimized weight and offers reliable protection to the movement.
The Challenge 48 'Black Flag' is equipped with a robust automatic chronograph movement - CO-753 caliber, the supreme precision of which is approved by COSC chronometer certification. The movement, beating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, provides the chronograph function in addition to hours, minutes, seconds and date. One more advantage is a 42-hour power reserve. The movement reveals the special Corum finish. The oscillating weight is engraved with the brand's name.
The imposing case construction features stylized black titanium lever-pushers positioned at 2 and 4 o'clock and protected by the brand's exclusive locking system. The black titanium screw-down case-back reveals a raised engraving of the Admiral's Cup Trophy. The case also incorporates a black vulcanized rubber bezel and convex anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The black titanium crown is engraved with the Corum key. The timepiece is 300-meter water-resistant.
The black Cotes-de-Geneve-decorated dial displays chevrons coated in blue luminescent material, the same as the faceted hour and minute hands. As for the chronograph seconds-hand, it is covered with deep black lacquer. Being positioned in the center of the dial, it features the Corum key as a counterweight.
The small chronograph minute counter is found at 3 o'clock, the hour counter at 6 o'clock and the small seconds counter at 9 o'clock. The counter hands shine due to the use of a specific blue Superluminova, creating a distinctive contrast with the black dial, and providing supreme readability. The date function is shown in a large window at 4:30.
The flange features 12 very discreet nautical pennants marking the hours, the characteristic symbol of the Admiral's Cup collection.

The timepiece houses an automatic-winding mechanical chronograph movement - the CO-753 caliber, the mechanism offering precision and reliability guaranteed by a COSC chronometer certificate. In addition to hours, minutes, seconds and the date, the 27-jewel movement provides the chronograph function. It operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and gives an advantage of a 42-hour power reserve.
The resolutely masculine Corum watch features tight lines, being cloaked in intense black color. The Admiral's Cup signature 12-sided case is crafted from titanium, the material characterized by remarkable lightness and hardness. The titanium 48-mm-in-diameter case is covered with black PVD.
The case construction demonstrates locking pushbuttons, representing the brand's exclusive lockout system. The pushbuttons are also crafted from titanium and are PVD-treated. They hug a titanium crown, featuring the Corum key engraving. The convex glare-proofed sapphire crystal is surrounded by a black vulcanized rubber bezel. The black titanium screw-down case back is embellished with the Admiral's Cup trophy. The timepiece is 300-meter water-resistant.
The dial of the Corum Admiral's Cup Black Hull 48 watch shows off minute numerals and chevrons provided with black luminescent treatment, along with the faceted hour and minute hands, resulting in perfect readability even in the dark.
The chronograph seconds hand is located at the center of the dial, featuring the Corum key as a counterweight. It is covered with deep black lacquer.
The small chronograph minute and hour counters and the small seconds hand found at 3 o'clock, 6 o'clock and 9 o'clock respectively are equipped with polished-to-a-taper hands. With help of relief, they are made more visible.
You will find the date window at 4:30. The flange is completed with the collection's symbolic 12 nautical pennants marking the hours.
The winding rotor reveals the brand's name engraving.

One of the hottest things in the watch market today is the all black or Phantom type watches. There are a few companies manufacturing these models promoting the unreadability and unusual style.
The Bell & Ross Phantom, a limited edition run of both the BR01 and BR03 models, and are mostly sold out. Black dial, black hands, and black numbers and markers. These watches are designed for stealth fighter pilots who operate stealth aircraft capable of sliding past radars and are virtually invisible to the enemy. The all black watches reflect no light, but suprisingly glow a dark green for some very slight visibility in the dark cabin.
U-Boat has the model 1851 Flightdeck Eclipse 50 Black, all black case with black dial and black hands. Going along with the stealth style, this watch features a funky textured dial, that is rather hard to detect.
Hublot also has a limited edition Big Bang version called the All Black, not as stealth as the Bell & Ross, but all black in color and very trendy. Big Bangs are very desirable, especially the all black with some being limited to only 25 pieces.
Hamilton is the next to come out with the Below Zero 1000M H78585333, a 1000 meter diving watch all black hands, dial and numbers. This watch has sold very well (regular production) and is an incredible value for the money, it comes with a black rubber strap as well as a black PVD stainless steel bracelet.
Who would have thought, that the next trend and fashion statement in watches is not about telling time.
