The Extreme Tourbillon represents a giant leap for the Geneva-based watch manufacturer, as the watch runs on a complicated movement that is made entirely in-house. The Alpina AL-980 caliber movement is based on the company's award-winning manufacture regulator movement and offers a glimpse into the past and present of high horology. The incredibly complicated tourbillon escapement uses some high-tech modern materials such as silicium, and its carriage is engraved with an individual serial number. This fantastic mechanical wonder is encased in a 48mm titanium Avalanche Extreme case with an 18K gold bezel and a view of the movement via a sapphire crystal exhibition back.
