  • The BR 01 94 Pro Titanium: A Symbol of Bell & Ross' Philosophy

    2009 October 01

Bell & Ross has always manufactured watches to be fit for professional use. To assure this its designers and engineers adhere to four guiding principles. These are water resistance, precision, readability (legibility at a glance), and performance. The help of military, safety, and health professionals is often enlisted to ensure that these aspects are incorporated in each watch. The BR-01 94 Pro Titanium is a symbol of the French manufacturer's four guiding principles.

  • Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Military Ceramic

    2010 April 16

In the past few years Bell & Ross has been testing the waters with several watches made of or with ceramic. The BR-03 White Ceramic and BR-S Ceramic models are examples that pleased many watch buyers. These buyers are in search of the quality of high-end watches adorned with the unique esthetic characteristics of ceramic. At the Baselworld 2010 fair in Switzerland, a new Bell & Ross ceramic watch was released that takes advantage of this hot substance in ways that are more suited to the company's design philosophy. The Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Military Ceramic showcases the material's technical qualities alongside its esthetic qualities.

  • Bell & Ross BR Minuteur Tourbillon Pink Gold Limited Edition

    2010 February 09

Once a masterpiece is conceived in the mind of the artist, it takes time and care to completed it. It must satisfy the stringent demands and expectations of collectors. It took most of a year since Bell & Ross unveiled their Minuteur models for the first one to be available to the public, but for thirty lucky collectors it will be worth the wait.

  • New Bell & Ross Limited Edition Radar Watch

    2009 October 27

Bell & Ross recently published a new catalogue dedicated solely to their limited edition models of luxury watches. Everything from the Phantoms to the Grand Minuteurs are included and accompanied by a brief description of each watch and its features. Some models have long been sold out, while some like the BR-01 92 and 94 Carbon Fiber models are not yet available. Among the new models that are not yet available, my favorite is the BR-01 92 Radar.

  • Bell & Ross Introduces a New, Slimmer Phantom

    2009 September 11

It's easy to see why the BR-01 Phantoms were so popular. Being amongst the first watches to offer black, luminescent hour markers is one of the reasons. The intrigue and conversation value that an all-black watch offers is another. Now, while other companies are still releasing all-black versions of their models, Bell & Ross takes a simple yet brilliant step onwards by designing an all-white Phantom watch.

  • Pro Titanium robust durable and light!

    2008 December 17

The latest in the line of Instruments to come out from Bell & Ross is the Pro Titanium BR01 94. Fashioned from the BR01 46mm size Instruments, but with a much more robust and rugged bezel, which is in line of the BR01 Tourbillon.

  • Unforgettable Win for the Montreal Canadiens

    2008 February 20

The Montreal Canadiens Stage a Spectacular Record-Braking Comeback. Last night was by far the most exciting night of hockey that I've witnessed since Jacques Demers called Marty McSorley on an illegal stick in 1993. What I saw was our Montreal Canadiens staging a miracle comeback from a five goal deficit, at the Bell Centre, against the New York Rangers. Then, as if that was not enough, Captain Koivu beat Lundqvist in the shootout to win the game.

  • Bell and Ross Up to Their Usual Pre-Basel Antics

    2008 March 28

As they did last year with the release of the BR-01 Tourbillon, Bell & Ross is slowly unveiling the newest of their highly complicated pieces. They are doing so on the official BR site with a puzzle-like picture that is getting closer to completion as we near the beginning of Baselworld 2008 where the watch will be officially unveiled.

  • New Bell & Ross BR02 Divers

    2012 June 15

Bell & Ross is best known for it’s Instrument series of watches, but they produce a number of interesting designs. It’s the price of their fame – the massive popularity of the Instrument has overshadowed a lot of their other offerings, which is a shame as Bell & Ross produces some very interesting watches - that aren’t square. One of my favourites outside of the Instrument collection is the BR02 Diver, a massive 44mm tonneau-shaped tool watch that stands out in a sea of ho-hum dive watch designs.

  • Bell & Ross BR 03 Heritage Watches

    2010 May 18

Bell & Ross was one of the most talked about brands at Baselworld 2010. This is thanks to some fantastic and defining novelties such as the BR 03-92 military Ceramic and an entire new collection of vintage-inspired timepieces. Because of this, some of the BR 03 novelties were somewhat overshadowed, but for Bell & Ross fans like us their release was very exciting. The BR 03 Heritage models are amongst these low-flying novelties. They depict the style of the larger BR 01 Heritage that enjoyed much success over the past six months. A three-hand and chronograph version, previously unavailable in the larger BR 01 size, were presented.

  • New Bell & Ross Complicated Watches

    2009 July 30

Bell & Ross' release of the BR-01 Tourbillon was very successful and has stemmed into the release of several other complicated models. Three new variations of the BR01 Tourbillon are now available as is the most complicated watch of the manufacturer's line, the BR Grand Minuteur.

  • Review of the Bell & Ross Vintage 123 Collection

    2009 October 22

Before the BR-01 Instrument was released by Bell & Ross, their most popular watches were probably those in the Vintage collection. The Vintage 123 - thanks to its considerably smaller price tag than the BR Instruments and timeless styling and elegance of the Fifties and Sixties - is perfect for the first time buyer of luxury watches. The avid watch lover or collector will also find that it suits his or her desire for quality, tantalizing finish, and details.

  • Bell & Ross BR01 Red Radar

    2012 March 30

Matt Baily was the first Bell & Ross retailer in Canada, and we have witnessed the evolution of the company from a quirky producer of professional watches into a powerhouse brand driven by distinctive industrial designs. Their BR01 and BR03 Instrument series are still the benchmark for modern military-industrial watches. To keep the design fresh, Bell & Ross has introduced numerous colour variations and complications over the years; the Red Radar limited edition in particular has garnered a lot of press in the watch media as a seriously cool design that takes the Instrument to another level.

  • Bell & Ross Military Ceramic

    2011 September 12

Ceramic is the latest trend in watch technology, having been dormant for many years (ceramic watches first emerged in the 1960s). The recent popularity of ceramic watches like the Chanel J12, not to mention the ceramic accents on high-tech watches from Hublot and Audemars Piguet, has created a demand for more and more ceramic designs from a variety of manufacturers. Entering the fray is Bell & Ross with a variety of new ceramic models, including the BR03-92 Military Ceramic (green, as we have here, and blue due later this year) and the upcoming BR01-92 Ceramic.

  • Sneak Peak Pre Basel: New Bell & Ross Instrument BR 01-93 24H GMT

    2009 March 27

The new INSTRUMENT BR 01-93 24H GMT is designed specifically for the long-haul traveler. Its GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) function displays the time at two different points on the globe simultaneously.

  • Bell & Ross WW1 Monopoussoir

    2012 October 03

The WW1 series has been garnering a lot of accolades for Bell & Ross. A break from their “traditional” Instruments, the WW1 collection has a unique style that ends up being a very distinctive dress watch. Styled to resemble pocket watches converted into wristwatches (complete with add-on strap lugs) the WW1s are quite unique in the market – the closest comparison I can think of would be the Panerai Radiomir with its wire lugs and cushion case. This year BR expanded the collection by adding several new versions, including the 42mm Argentium and Jump Hour models, and the 45mm Monopusher (officially called the Monopoussoir). These models mark a significant step upmarket for Bell & Ross.

  • New Bell & Ross WW1 Military and Heritage

    2011 December 05

Bell & Ross watches have long been a Montreal favourite. We were the first dealer in Canada for the brand, and had them before they released their iconic Instrument series. Nowadays the Instrument is BR’s flagship, but they also produce a series of interesting round designs in the Vintage series. The latest additions to the Vintage line are the WW1 wristwatches, a series inspired by very early military watches that were adapted from pocketwatches.

  • Mainstream is on its way out!

    2008 September 13

As the high-end market continues to flourish in these economic hard times, the watch trend is really going towards people wanting to wear something no one else has. The days of wearing a Rolex has been termed as a Texas Timex. In the past it seemed like as soon as you made a little success for yourself, one of the first thing you did is go out and get a Rolex. Although Rolex, Breitling and Cartier will always own a huge chunk of the market, Bell & Ross, Corum, U-Boat are creeping up and becoming in demand.
